Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Northdocs ApS entity registration (CVR) is pending. These policies describe how the service operates today and are intended for customer due diligence. For a countersigned DPA or negotiated terms, contact legal@northdocs.com.

1. Commitment

Northdocs is committed to making its websites and web application usable by people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA for public marketing pages and the authenticated product shell.

2. Conformance status

The public Northdocs marketing and Trust Center surfaces are designed and tested to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Conformance is verified continuously with automated axe-core audits in CI and periodic manual keyboard checks.

  • Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
  • Automated gate: Playwright + @axe-core/playwright (wcag2a, wcag2aa, wcag21a, wcag21aa tags) on public marketing routes and authenticated app shells
  • Statement date: see “Last updated” above; re-tested when UI shells change

3. Scope

This statement covers northdocs.com public pages (marketing, Trust Center, Help, legal) and the authenticated application chrome (navigation, dialogs, forms) built by Northdocs.

  • In scope: public routes listed in our a11y test suite, shared marketing header/footer, sign-in and sign-up shells, app landmarks, labelled forms, and Radix dialogs/selects
  • Partially in scope: PDF review canvas and dense redaction tooling (keyboard paths exist; complex pointer workflows remain)
  • Out of scope / third party: Clerk sign-in widgets, embedded vendor UIs, and customer document content inside PDFs

4. Testing method

We combine automated and manual testing:

  • axe-core WCAG 2.1 A/AA rules on listed public routes and authenticated app shells (npm run test:e2e:a11y)
  • Skip-to-content link and single main landmark on marketing and app shells
  • Keyboard focus for dialogs, menus, and Help article list (native buttons / Radix primitives)
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected for decorative motion where implemented

5. Accessibility features

  • Skip link to #main-content as the first focusable control
  • html lang set from the user’s locale (English / Danish)
  • Semantic landmarks: header, nav, main, footer / aside in the app shell
  • Visible focus styles and ARIA labels on icon-only controls
  • Live regions for toast notifications (polite)

6. Known limitations

We track the following limitations and improve them iteratively:

  • Document review canvas: page text overlays and redaction boxes are optimized for pointer precision; screen-reader announcement of every detection is limited
  • Third-party Clerk components may announce differently across browsers; we exclude their roots from automated scoring
  • Outbound Guard task panes follow Microsoft host chrome constraints outside this statement
  • Conversation Redact transcript and audio review is keyboard reachable; screen-reader announcement of every turn and waveform control remains limited

7. Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email support@northdocs.com with the page URL, assistive technology (if any), and a short description. We aim to respond within five business days.
