Recipient send gate
Own email on To/Cc is allowed. Any CPR SoftBlocks. Press and opposing escalate. Override sends once.
Attachment inspect
Count findings in the file on the Send button. Unscanned or timed-out files are their own outcome. Permanent redaction remains a Cases job when you need it.
Accountability pack
A municipality or firm can attach counts, destination class, and overrides to a DPIA. Purview's buyer artifact includes matched snippets. Guard's does not.
Versus Microsoft Purview DLP
A staffed E5 program can reproduce about two thirds of detect and SoftBlock, and is stronger on attachments across every channel. Guard wins on wipe-in-compose, recipient class (press, opposing, first-time), body-free evidence, law-firm and municipality presets, and E3 tenants that will not stand up a DLP project.
- Outbound Guard does not replace labels, encryption, Teams DLP, or endpoint DLP.
- If Exchange DLP already inspects attachments, Guard still wipes personal data in the Outlook draft, applies different send rules depending on who you are sending to, and reports how many sends were blocked, without storing the emails. It is not another file scanner.
