    Outbound Guard warns in Outlook at send time and checks attachments. It is a soft block: the sender can still choose to send, and if the add-in does not run, the mail goes. The data protection officer gets a report without mail bodies.

  • AI off, or AI in the EUAn admin can switch AI off for the whole organization, and then no content goes to any AI provider. When it is on, it runs on OVHcloud AI Endpoints in the EU.
  • EU hostingDocuments are hosted and processed by OVHcloud in Frankfurt. Sign-in and billing vendors are listed in the subprocessor list with their transfer basis.

Questions

What this team asks first

Does Northdocs replace our ESDH?

No. Connectors import documents into a case, and write-back is available only after a sandbox certification. The ESDH remains the system of record.

Can we run without AI?

Yes. An administrator can switch AI off for the whole organization. Pattern rules and the built-in name tagger keep running, and no content is sent to an AI provider. CPR numbers are found by pattern with a date plausibility check, not a checksum, so review stays part of the process.

Which ESDH systems are supported?

KMD WorkZone and KMD Nova. cBrain F2, Acadre, SBSYS, and GetOrganized are in beta. ESDH connectors are on Enterprise and in the trial; SharePoint is on Firm.

Does the OCR read handwriting?

No. Scanned pages get a text layer from general purpose OCR before detection, and redactions on scans are burned into the image. Handwritten notes need manual review.
