iManage write-back certification

Sandbox evidence checklist: connect, import, redact, write-back, and audit before enabling production write-back.

Sandbox only. Pass SHA-256 read-back before any live matter write-back.

Audience: Northdocs solutions plus firm IT. Plan: Trial or Enterprise with connectors. Use a sandbox iManage library only. Do not point write-back at a live client matter.

Prerequisites: connectors entitlement; iManage Control Center app with refresh tokens if required; redirect URI {APP_URL}/api/connectors/oauth/imanage/callback; library/database alias; a clearly named sandbox workspace/folder; Northdocs org admin and an editor for import/apply.

    Connect

    Integrations → iManage → enter Work server base URL + client id/secret → Authorize. Evidence: connector status connected, no lastError.

    Scope

    set root workspace/folder to the sandbox only (never firm-wide crawl). Evidence: browse shows only the sandbox tree.

    Import

    browse at least two folder levels; import one allowed PDF. Evidence: document in a Northdocs case with source provenance; processing starts.

    Redact

    complete review → apply → verify succeeds. Evidence: redacted export available; verify green.

    Write-back (sandbox)

    choose create-new or native-version mode in Integrations. For native version, provide the existing sandbox document id. Run sandbox certification and confirm SHA-256 verified.

    Audit

    Settings → Audit (or Audit export) shows connector.connect, connector.import, connector.writeback. Evidence: export snippet or screenshot with timestamps.

    Teardown

    disable write-back; optionally disconnect. Evidence: write-back off; connector disconnected or sandbox-only.

Pass criteria (all required): scoped sandbox import; fail-closed verify before trusting export; selected certification mode succeeds; read-back SHA-256 matches; evidence bundle downloaded; admin sign-off recorded; no production matter write-back.

Product notes: create-new uploads *_redacted.pdf. Native-version uses the iManage document versions API and retains the returned version id. Envelope encryption / BYOK: write-back decrypts in the Northdocs app for upload; at-rest encryption remains on OVH Object Storage objects.
