PDF conversion is always used for Fast Track review and OCR. Under Settings → Organization, enable Generate native Word/Excel on apply to also produce a redacted DOCX/XLSX after apply.
When native output is available, Export offers Download native Word/Excel. Complex DrawingML, embedded objects, and some charts may still need the PDF path for full coverage.
Fail-closed verification still applies to the PDF path: sensitive strings must not survive extraction after apply. Treat native Office as a convenience copy of that verified PDF workflow, not a separate unverified track.
Word and Excel Office.js add-ins are not shipped. Disclosure DOCX/XLSX work runs in the Northdocs web app.
