Describe custom PII in plain language; Northdocs validates and applies AI-assisted filters (Pro+).
Open Settings → Categories (or /settings?tab=categories) and find Magic Redact. It is available on Pro, Firm, Trial, and Enterprise.
Describe what to find in plain language (for example case numbers or internal employee IDs). Northdocs validates the filter before it runs in detection. Prefer Keywords or a safe pattern when the concept is a fixed string.
Validated filters run after regex and on-device NER, during post-present refine, so review is not blocked on them. Disable or delete filters you no longer need.
