Dual-control approval is optional and off by default, unless an admin setting or policy pack turns it on. It is not the standard export gate. An admin can enable approval documents under Settings → Access and exports, and pick which admins or reviewers receive requests.
Available on Firm and Enterprise. Open a document and use the Approval control to submit for review.
Pending requests for configured reviewers appear on the Queue page under Pending approvals.
Require approval before export is a separate optional setting. When it is on, download stays blocked until a configured reviewer decides. Requesters cannot approve their own requests.
